Britt Hibbert
Attorney & Founder, Hibbs Law, PLLC
Britt Hibbert is a Utah attorney focused on estate planning, business planning, and helping individuals, families, and business owners create practical, thoughtful plans for the future. Her practice is centered on making the legal process approachable and understandable while providing high-quality, personalized guidance tailored to each client’s goals and values.
Britt earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, where she developed advanced knowledge in taxation, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies. She earned her Juris Doctor at Brigham Young University before beginning her legal career in both private practice and in-house legal roles.
Prior to founding her own practice, Britt worked at one of Utah’s largest business and estate planning firms, where she assisted individuals, families, and business owners with estate planning, business succession planning, entity formation, and asset protection strategies. Her experience includes trusts, wills, LLCs, family business planning, buy-sell agreements, and succession structures designed to preserve both family relationships and long-term stability.
A practice built from personal experience
Britt’s decision to build her own practice was deeply influenced by personal experience. After the passing of her grandfather, her family experienced firsthand the challenges and stress that can arise when a loved one believes formal estate planning is unnecessary. Watching the burden that unresolved legal and financial matters placed on her grandmother reinforced Britt’s belief that thoughtful planning is not only about wealth preservation — it is about protecting families, preserving legacies, and creating clarity during life’s most difficult moments.
That experience continues to shape her practice today. Britt is especially passionate about helping families, small business owners, and individuals with growing estates create practical plans that protect what they have worked hard to build.
Beyond estate planning
In addition to her estate planning background, Britt has experience supporting businesses through corporate and operational legal matters, including contract review, compliance, governance, and strategic planning. Her combined law firm and in-house experience gives her a practical understanding of the legal and operational challenges business owners face as they build, grow, and protect their businesses for future generations.
Hibbs Law is a fully virtual practice based in Utah, with a network of attorney partners across the United States — so you can get thoughtful planning from wherever you are, without ever fighting for parking.
